Finly is designed as a local-first personal finance app. This page explains what data is handled, how it is used, and your choices.

Finly stores your app data primarily on your device. Depending on how you use the product and website, we may process:

  • Reminder preferences and app settings (for example notification times).
  • Contact details and message content if you submit the website contact form.
  • Basic technical data from your browser such as device type and approximate diagnostics needed for security and reliability.
Finly does not require account registration to use core tracking features.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used only for product functionality and support operations, such as:

  • Showing balances, charts, history, and budget warnings.
  • Scheduling reminders and local notifications you configure.
  • Generating exports such as PDF reports you request.
  • Responding to support or feedback messages you send.

3. Data Storage and Security

Core financial entries are intended to remain on your device using local storage technologies. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and backups.

Reasonable safeguards are applied to website-side communication channels, but no internet transmission method is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

The website and app may use limited third-party services for functionality. Examples may include:

  • Google Play for app distribution.
  • Email delivery providers used by the contact form.
  • Analytics or diagnostics tools when enabled to improve reliability.

Those providers have their own policies. Review them before sharing sensitive information.

5. Your Choices

  • You can edit or delete app entries directly inside Finly.
  • You can uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device.
  • You can choose not to submit the contact form if you do not want to share personal details.

6. Children's Privacy

Finly is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website contact form, please contact us to request deletion.
